Hi, I’m Tom Davy, A certified (UXc) Service and User Experience Design consultant
Available: March 2025
Languages: English
Based: Newport, South Wales
I have over 12 years experience designing digital products and services for the public and private sector including 10 years for UK Government departments.
My current role is a lead User Experience Consultant at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) on their Funding Service application - a UK Government fund that is responsible for the distribution of over £7bn worth of funding grants for science and arts research projects.
This is a very broad role, incorporating service design to investigate and design overarching processes to provide efficient, integrated services to both UKRI staff and the wider academic and research community. I also work at a more traditional, UX/interaction design level in an Agile environment; collaborating with user researchers, content designers and dev teams to design specific journeys. Throughout my time here, I have been involved in wider activities such as mentoring junior staff, managing teams and leading the UCD community.
Prior to this, I worked as an interaction designer and UX Designer at the Office for National Statistics (ONS), researching and designing a service for publishing data in a more open format.
If you're looking for a Senior Service, Interaction or UX Designer please contact me.
